Prof. Priscilla K. Mante, the spouse of well-known singer Linford Kennedy Amankwaa, also referred to as Ko-Jo Cue, has reached a noteworthy academic achievement with her promotion to the prestigious rank of Associate Professor of Pharmacology.
Dr. Mante is a senior lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the prestigious Department of Pharmacology. She offers a plethora of knowledge and experience to her position.
Her academic background includes earning a Ph.D. in pharmacology from KNUST and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) degree from KNUST.
Within the discipline, Prof. Mante’s study is well acclaimed, primarily focusing on examining the effectiveness of isolated pharmaceutical substances against refractory epilepsy.
Her pioneering study uses cutting-edge methods including whole-cell patch clamp approaches and animal illness models to explore the complex mechanisms of voltage-gated sodium channel activation of natural products.
By means of her innovative studies, Dr. Mante endeavors to unearth new treatment alternatives for anxiety, depression, and epilepsy, so making a substantial contribution to the field of medicine.
Dr. Mante is pursuing her academic goals in addition to being a qualified pharmacist and an active member of several esteemed professional organizations, such as the International Society of Neurochemistry, Ghana Young Academy, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.
In addition, she is a founder member of the Ghana Neuroscience Society, an organization of great repute.
