After being born there on July 24, 1969, Jennifer Lynn Lopez was raised in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx. Her parents, David López and Guadalupe Rodriguez were both raised on the United States mainland despite being born in Puerto Rico.
Following his military service, David worked as a computer technician for Guardian Insurance Company.
