Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Anastasia Mousis-Sanidopoulos grew up in Belmont and Watertown. Her first performing experience came from dance lessons at O’Brien Dance Studio, whose founder, Joan O’Brien, pushed Anastasia to pursue her dreams.
Her instructor has since passed away, having successfully imparted the passion that keeps Anastasia going in her career. Anastasia has studied under notable names such as Ian McKenzie and Sheryl Murakami, among others.
Anastasia divorced her husband and gave up dancing to raise her twin sons, aged twelve. Her passion drew her back to the stage as they grew older; however, on a fateful day in March of 2010, one evening after dance class, Anastasia was struck head-on by a drunk driver whose car then crashed into her and ended her dance career. Fortunately, she was able to return to acting after intensive therapy and support from her family
