Ghanaian record producer who happens to be the founder and CEO of The Last Two Music Group, Edward Nana Poku Osei known by the showbiz name Hammer of The Last Two has revealed the reason why his first marriage lasted for less than 5 months.

Speaking on D-Black’s ‘Uncut’ show, Hammer revealed that, his marriage with Lydia Konadu Boateng did not last long since it was not based on real love, but rather the fact that he had a child with her and didn’t want her to become a ‘born one’.

According to him, even though they were not mutually very much in love like a marriage kind of love, he still thought it would work out after they tied the knot but it didn’t go as planned.

He added that, less than five months after they tied the knot, they decided to call it a quit mutually because they realized they were not made for each other.

“It wasn’t about the industry. I feel like marriage is divine and I was one of the unlucky ones. A match wasn’t made in Heaven and we are great friends because we raised the kids together. It lasted less than five months. After the ceremony, we had a mutual [understanding to go separate ways]. This is 2004.

“With my marriage, I think it was a typical issue that a lot of people go through. We had a kid and I thought it wise to not let her go home as a ‘born one’.

“So even though we were not mutually very much in love like a marriage kind of love, I still thought it would work.  So I decided to wed her like a traditional quiet one. And we realized quickly that we really wouldn’t be with each other so we had to agree that this wouldn’t go anywhere and the further we go, the further we hurt each other.  So that’s why we are able to welcome good friends,” Hammer noted.

After a failed marriage, Hammer did not remarry and when asked, he revealed thathe is not in a hurry to settle down as soon as possible, however, he is in a relationship with a “very great woman” and will marry her with time.
