President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has not held back in his criticism of the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama. Akufo-Addo has accused Mahama of harboring bitterness due to his two straight electoral defeats.

During a mini rally in Doboro in the Greater Accra region, President Akufo-Addo made it clear that he believes Mahama does not appreciate any of the good work that his NPP administration has done. He went on to urge Ghanaians not to vote for Mahama in the upcoming 2024 general elections, stating that he has no confidence in Mahama’s ability to develop the country.

Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of registering to vote in the Limited Voter Registration exercise, urging all eligible individuals to participate. He expressed his concern about handing over power to someone who has been defeated twice and is not supportive of his administration’s efforts, fearing that they would destroy the progress that has been made.

Instead, Akufo-Addo endorsed Dr. Bawumia for the presidency, citing his seven and a half years of experience working with him and expressing confidence in his ability to continue the positive work that has been done.
