President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made a passionate plea to Ghanaians who are yet to register onto the electoral roll to do so without any further delay.

Speaking at a mini rally in Doboro in the Greater Accra region after visiting the premises of Blue Skies Limited, the President emphasized the importance of registering to exercise one’s voting rights.

He reminded the people that their vote is their power and encouraged all eligible individuals to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise. President Akufo-Addo highlighted the significance of active participation in the electoral process and urged citizens to register and make their voices heard.

During his address, President Akufo-Addo also cautioned against voting for his political rival, emphasizing that he cannot hand over the reins of government to someone who has been defeated twice and is critical of his administration. Instead, he recommended Dr. Bawumia as a competent candidate who can continue the good work that has been initiated.

The Electoral Commission (EC) has commenced the limited voter registration exercise, which began on May 7 and will run until May 27, 2024. This 21-day exercise aims to enroll individuals who have turned 18 years old since the last registration into the national voter database.

The EC has assured that registration centers will be set up at district offices and in difficult-to-access electoral areas to ensure maximum participation.
