A pillar of the BBnZ Live outfit, Lil Shaker has stimulated a substantial dose of nostalgia with a record which provides highlights of contents that dominated the airwaves in the late 90s and early 2000s.
In the song, bearing the title “Throwback”, the ‘Leader of the new school’ gave an account of television programs that Ghanaian kids were previously obsessed with.
In the visuals for the song, Lil Shaker played the character of a Senior High School student who a normal day would be writing lyrics and sipping “Refresh”, a highly patronized soft drink by school kids in the late 90s and early 2000s. The visulas were directed by Akwaada Nyame.
The composition of the song is clearly tailored for consumption by millennials.
