A renowned football player for the Oregon Ducks has died.
According to The Spun, Jack Morris died of Alzheimer’s disease on April 27, 2022 at the age of 90.
Morris was a two-sport athlete at Oregon, but his football achievements were his most well-known.

Morris displayed symptoms of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a brain degeneration caused by repeated head trauma that is becoming more common in former contact sport players and soldiers, according to Morris’ daughter Tricia Thompson.
He was a key member of the Rose Bowl-winning 1957-58 squad.
He was a part of the school’s football squad from 1955 to 1957, playing three different positions (running back, cornerback, and kicker).
He rushed for 519 yards in 1956, one of his best seasons.
Morris also played four seasons in the NFL after being selected in the seventh round of the 1956 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
