The Ghana Grows Youth Policy Dialogue recently took place at the Ho Technical University, empowering over 2,100 young voices from various levels across Ghana.
This event, a collaboration between the Mastercard Foundation and Springboard Road Show Foundation, aimed to equip young people, especially women, with the skills and confidence to explore career paths in agriculture, agribusiness, and technical and vocational fields.
During the dialogue, participants had the opportunity to engage directly with industry stakeholders and develop their skills as Agriculture and ATVET youth ambassadors. Speakers, including Comfort Ocran and Ms Hilary Gbedemah, provided insights on engaging stakeholders, advocacy, and collaboration in advancing women’s rights and access to justice.
The event also featured Professor Lydia Aziato, who shared her personal narrative on overcoming barriers to women’s empowerment. The dialogue culminated in the publication of a policy brief, offering recommendations for youth engagement in Ghana’s agricultural sector.
The Ghana Grows Programme is dedicated to inspiring and equipping a new generation of Ghanaians to succeed in agribusiness and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.
