The leader of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has declared his confidence in being chosen by God to bring about positive change in Ghana if elected president.
Speaking to a group of clergymen in Tarkoradi on Thursday, May 2, the 2024 presidential candidate expressed his belief that God can use him to make a difference as the leader of the Republic.
“I believe that I can do something for Ghana. I believe God uses everybody that he wants to use to change the society…I believe that something good can come from Walewale and if God says that it should come from Walewale it will come from Walewale,” Dr. Bawumia affirmed.
Additionally, he called on clergy members to intervene and prevent politicians from compromising national security for personal gain.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted that his upbringing instilled in him a deep respect for all religions, showcasing his commitment to unity and inclusivity.
As part of his “Bold Solution for our Future” campaign, Dr. Bawumia is set to tour all 275 constituencies in Ghana until the first week of June. During this tour, he and his team will focus on addressing important issues that directly impact the lives of Ghanaians.
The vice president plans to engage with various sectors of society including businesses, associations, traditional rulers, youth organizations, traders, drivers, farmers, and students. He also intends to continue interacting with the media and hosting town hall meetings to connect with the people of Ghana.
