Damar Romeyelle Hamlin, a safety with the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills, was born on March 24, 1998. (NFL).
He was selected by the Bills in the 2021 NFL Draft after playing collegiate football for the University of Pittsburgh. His first season was spent as a backup player, and his second saw him promoted to a regular starter.
After making a tackle against the Cincinnati Bengals that day, on January 2, 2023, Hamlin lost consciousness and experienced heart arrest. He received CPR before being taken to the hospital in a hurry.

Hamlin doesn’t have any kids, sorry. His mother Nina welcomed him when she was only 16 years old, and he is quite close with his own parents.
“I’m extremely close to my family and I just try to think about when I was 16 years old and I just couldn’t imagine having a little boy,” he remarked this to News4 in 2021.
“It was us at first, just me and my mom and my dad, and they taught me hard work. They taught me you gotta work for everything you and basically they just taught me all of the lessons of life.”
