Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, has recently found herself in legal trouble after being arrested for driving while intoxicated in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

The 24-year-old rising star was apprehended by the police after making an illegal traffic maneuver.

Born on July 28, 1999 in Memphis, Tennessee, GloRilla grew up in a strict religious household and was homeschooled until fifth grade. Despite the limitations placed on her upbringing, her passion for music emerged at a young age and she delved into the world of rap at just 16 years old.

The young rapper gained widespread recognition with her hit song ‘F.N.N. (Let’s Go)’ in 2022, which landed her in the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Following this success, she signed with Collective Music Group and released another hit, ‘Tomorrow’, featuring Cardi B, earning her a double platinum certification.

Unfortunately, GloRilla’s promising career hit a snag when she was arrested for driving under the influence. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning when the police observed her making a U-turn at a red light. Upon approaching her vehicle, officers detected the smell of marijuana and alcohol, leading to further investigation.

During field sobriety tests, GloRilla allegedly failed to complete tasks such as eye-tracking, balancing on one leg, and walking in a straight line. She also refused to take a breathalyzer test. An officer even had to inform her of a wardrobe malfunction when her breast became exposed.

Following her arrest, GloRilla was charged with driving under the influence, having an open alcoholic beverage, and a traffic violation. Despite the legal implications, she has remained active on social media, sharing videos and memes related to her music.

Driving while intoxicated is a serious criminal offense in the United States, with severe penalties varying by jurisdiction. Law enforcement officers have the authority to administer chemical tests to determine impairment, and refusal to comply can result in further consequences such as losing driving privileges.
