The International Cricket Council has announced that England will host the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup and that there would be four women’s championships between 2024 and 2027.

When Bangladesh hosts the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024, it will be the first women’s competition they have ever hosted.

In 2025, India will host the 50-over World Cup, with Australia aiming to retain its championship.

If Sri Lanka qualifies, a T20 Champions Trophy will be held there in February 2027.

Six teams will compete in 16 matches in the Women’s ICC Champions Trophy’s debut season.

12 countries will compete in 33 games at the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in England, up from the 10 teams scheduled to compete in Bangladesh in 2024 and South Africa in February 2023.

Additionally, it was revealed that Lord’s would host the 2023 and 2025 World Test Championship finals, and that the 2023–2027 tour schedule had been agreed and would soon be made public.

The last time England held a women’s competition was in 2017, when Knight’s team defeated India at a packed Lord’s to win the 50+ World Cup.

In 2009, they last played host to the Women’s T20 World Cup, which saw Charlotte Edwards’ team defeat New Zealand in the championship match.
