The job-hunting process can be overwhelming and discouraging for many people, especially when a promising opportunity ends in rejection.

This was the case for one woman who shared her story on TikTok after being turned down for a job, not due to her qualifications, but allegedly because she did not wear makeup to the interview.

In a viral video, Melissa Weaver recounted her experience of interviewing for a vice president position, feeling confident and well-prepared for the role. Despite what she thought was a successful interview, she received an email informing her that she would not be moving forward in the hiring process.

Expressing her shock and confusion, Weaver said, “I was really bummed because I wanted the job, but I was also very confused.”
