Many sustain injuries as an SUV car ram into a crowd at the Wisconsin Christmas parade on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Around the evening of Sunday, video footage showing a red sports utility vehicle (SUV) driving through a Christmas parade in the town of Waukesha popped up on Facebook. The incident occurred west of Milwaukee. Onlookers screamed as people were knocked to the ground by the car.

How many people were injured?

According to Milwaukee Police chief Dan Thompson, over 20 people were injured after a car rammed into a parade in Wisconsin.

Even though he didn’t give much detail, he disclosed that they had identified a person of interest, adding that the scene is now safe.

As per reports, Waukesha Mayor Shawn Reilly described the incident as a “traumatic situation for the City of Waukesha” during a press conference.

An eyewitness told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper he had just finished marching in the parade when the incident occurred.

“We saw an SUV… just put the pedal to the metal and just zooming full speed along the parade route. And then we heard a loud bang, and just deafening cries and screams from people who are who are struck by the vehicle,” he said.
