Wisconsin Christmas parade crash: one person confirmed dead

A fatality confirmed as several injured in the heart-breaking Wisconsin Christmas parade crash.

On Sunday, November 21, 2021, a video of an SUV car running into a crowd at the Wisconsin Christmas parade popped up on social media.

The incident occurred west of Milwaukee. Onlookers screamed as people were knocked to the ground by the car.

The police said there have been some fatalities involved but confirmed only one.  According to Milwaukee Police chief Dan Thompson, over 20 people were injured after a car rammed into a parade in Wisconsin. Information about the victims are not readily available.

Waukesha Mayor Shawn Reilly described the incident as a “traumatic situation for the City of Waukesha” during a press conference.

An eyewitness told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper he had just finished marching in the parade when the incident occurred.

“We saw an SUV… just put the pedal to the metal and just zooming full speed along the parade route. And then we heard a loud bang, and just deafening cries and screams from people who are who are struck by the vehicle,” he said.
