Why Sergio Aguero is retiring from football. Sergio Aguero heart condition?

Sergio Kun Aguero left Manchester City at the end of last season and signed for Barcelona as a free agent in July having been promised the opportunity to play alongside his best friend Lionel Messi, who has now left the club to join Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG project.

Aguero was reported to have told his lawyers to find a way out of his Barcelona contract.  Because he was desperate to escape the Camp Nou following Lionel Messi’s shock exit.

Aguero is close friends with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner and publicly spoke about playing with him at club level.

At his official unveiling, Aguero said: “Of course I hope to play with Lionel. I know him so well, we’re good friends.  “What happens with Leo is a decision that he and the club will make. It is a pride to play with him. I’ve played with him in the national team.”

But the switch to Barcelona went badly from the start. The club’s financial problems meant there were problems registering their new signings, including Aguero.

With a 10 week injury to contend with it’s clear that Aguero isn’t going to be in the best headspace for Barcelona.

His last game for Barcelona came against Alaves in late October and in the first half due to chest pains he had to be admitted to a hospital. It was announced later that Aguero was dealing with arrhythmia, also known as an irregular heart rhythm. The club ruled him out for three months following a cardiac exam.
