Why did Walder Frey kill Robb and Catelyn Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’?

The Red Wedding is a massacre that occurred during the War of the Five Kings in 299 AC at the wedding feast of Edmure Tully, Lord of Riverrun, and Roslin Frey at the Twins. Robb Stark, the King of the North, his mother Catelyn, and the majority of his three thousand five hundred troops are murdered.

Lord Walder Frey, the event’s host, orchestrates it as retaliation for Robb’s breach of a marriage deal he made with House Frey, and Lord Roose Bolton, Walder’s conspirator. Walder, on the other hand, would never have agreed to the massacre, which broke all the sacred standards of hospitality, unless Lord Tywin Lannister, the King’s Hand to Joffrey I Baratheon, promised him safety.
