Richard Bernard Moore is a popular American who is currently in South Carolina and is scheduled for execution.

Richard Bernard Moore was 1999, sentenced to death when he murdered a store clerk and has been on death row since then.

While appearing in court on Friday, April 15th, 2022, Richard spoke out and decided on which method he prefers to be executed.

“I believe this election is forcing me to choose between two unconstitutional methods of execution, and I do not intend to waive any challenges to electrocution or firing squad by making an election,” he told the court.

Why did Richard Bernard Moore choose to die by firing squad?

Richard Bernard Moore has chosen to be killed by a firing squad than electrocution or lethal injection.

According to him, he strongly opposes a death by electrocution and so he settled on the firing squad because he was required to make a choice.

Richard Bernard Moore will be executed by a firing squad on April 29th, 2022.

He will become the first death row inmate to die by firing squad in South Carolina.
