She plays a significant role as the protagonist of the third-most viewpoint chapter in the novels and is the only viewpoint character to have appeared in each book that has been released in the series. In later series POVs, she goes by a variety of names for her chapter titles, including Cat of the Canals, The Blind Girl, The Ugly Little Girl, and Mercy.
