In 1997, Mary Katherine Fualaau, an American teacher, was guilty of two counts of felony second-degree child rape. She was born on January 30, 1962, and passed away on July 6, 2020.

Vili Fualaau, an elementary school student in Burien, Washington, who was 12 years old when the first sex acts occurred, was the youngster. While awaiting punishment, she gave birth to Fualaau’s child.

She reached a plea deal that included, among other things, a lifetime prohibition on speaking to Fualaau as well as a six-month sentence with a three-month suspension.

She was facing a seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence from the state. The case received extensive media attention.

Who is Mary Kay Letourneau’s husband Vili Fualaau?

Vili Fualaau (born June 26, 1983) was a student in Letourneau’s second and sixth-grade classrooms at Shorewood Elementary. When Letourneau was 34 years old, in the summer of 1996, their platonic relationship with Fualaau, a 12-year-old, evolved into a sexual one.

On June 18, 1996, in a marina parking lot, police found her in a car with Fualaau. As she jumped into the driver’s seat, Fualaau pretended to sleep in the rear seat.

She and Fualaau provided false information when requested for identification, with Fualaau claiming to be 18 years old. Fualaau claimed there had not been any contact.
