The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin’s Charles Allan Hill, a stand-up comedian, and actor, died on December 30, 2013. He was born on July 6, 1951.

Michael Hill was an American Indian from the Oneida reservation in Wisconsin. He was a member of Hanay Geiogomah’s Native American Theatre Ensemble, which toured Europe and the U.S. in the 1970s. After college, he worked as an actor and comedian in Los Angeles.

He appeared on many television shows, including The Tonight Show and The Late Late Show. Hill was the subject of the PBS documentary On and Off The Res with Charlie Hill (1999), directed by Sandra Osawa.
