Mexican ranchera musician, actor, and film producer Vicente Fernández Gómez was born on February 17, 1940, and he passed away on December 12, 2021. “Chente” Fernández, popularly known as “El Charro of Huentitán,” “El Dolo of Mexico,” and “El Rey of Ranchera Music,” started out as a busker before launching a successful career that saw him release more than 100 CDs and show up in more than 30 movies. He performed traditional Mexican songs such as rancheras.

Fernández needed ten years to establish himself in his field. After the 1973 death of José Alfredo Jiménez, a legendary rancheras performer, Fernández became well-known in the music industry.
