The family of late rapper Young Dolph spoke following his shocking death last week.
Young Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Thornton Jr., was shot and killed in Memphis, Tennessee, on Wednesday, November 17. The incident occurred at Makeda’s Butter Cookies store while buying cookies. He died aged 36.
In a statement this week, his family said no words exist that sufficiently express the pain they are feeling like a family.
They said losing Young Dolph changes their lives forever and that while they will take each day as it comes, they are comforted in knowing that he leaves a legacy that reflects his heart.
While his family haven’t given many details about his funeral arrangements, fans can’t wait to know when and where he will be buried.

Born on July 27, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, Young Dolph’s parents relocated from Chicago to Memphis, Tennessee, when Dolph was age two. Related to rapper Juice Wrld (who is his cousin), Dolph had brothers and two sisters.
Young Dolph grew up under the care of his grandmother because his parent were into drugs and didn’t spend enough time with him.
He attended Hamilton High School in Memphis.
Considering his background, we bet on Memphis as his burial place. Since he spent most of his time in the city; discovered his talent, created monster hit singles, made friends, established his businesses and connections, Memphis should be the right place for his burial.
