Damar Romeyelle Hamlin was born on March 24, 1998. He is an American football safety for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh and was drafted by the Bills in 2021. He served as a reserve player during his first season, being elevated to a regular starter during his second season.
On January 2, 2023, during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Hamlin collapsed on the field and went into cardiac arrest after delivering a tackle. CPR was administered to him before being rushed to the hospital.
