Damar Hamlin is a talented American football safety, who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 24, 1998, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, USA. Hamlin stands at a height of 6 feet with a body mass of 91 kg, which is equivalent to 200 lbs. 

He attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he began his football career. He was named first-team All-State and the Class AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.

After graduating from High School, he enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh, where he played collegiate football. He was considered a top cornerback coming out of Central Catholic and was recruited by multiple major college football programs.

Hamlin was named a team captain going into his final season and was named second-team All-ACC after leading the team with 66 tackles and seven passes broken up. After being drafted by the Bills in 2021, he served as a reserve player during his first season, being elevated to a regular starter during his second season.

What happened to Damar Hamlin?

Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field during the first quarter of the the Monday Night Football game between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. According to repots, he was was said to be in critical condition, having gone into cardiac arrest.

Following the collapse, numerous NFL players and teams quickly offered their support and prayers on social media. We all hope that Damar Hamlin gets well.
