The Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) have made a bold declaration against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly trying to entice youth to switch allegiance from Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change to the NPP.
In a statement dated Monday, April 22, NAWSAC stated that the NPP’s attempt to sway some members of the movement to their side was unsuccessful, with no progress being made.
“The intelligence of the NPP is questionable as they celebrate luring inexperienced individuals with money,” NAWSAC expressed in their statement. They further added, “Those they claim to have convinced with money have no influence within our structures and lack the ability to sway even their own parents, let alone the Ghanaian voter.”
The supporters group accused the NPP of resorting to using money as a tool to attract young people from the Movement for Change, referring to it as ‘monicracy’. They claimed that the NPP’s efforts to undermine Alan Kyerematen’s candidacy were part of their clandestine operations.
Luther-King Junior, the convener of NAWSAC, highlighted that the youth were tired of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP’s deceitful tactics. He emphasized their commitment to standing by their principles and endorsing Alan Kyerematen’s leadership.
“The youth will not be manipulated by the NPP and NDC. They cannot buy the conscience of young people with their corruption. The youth are determined to prevail in this battle,” Luther-King Junior asserted.
