NAPO, also known as Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their 24-hour economy policy.
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) slammed the NDC’s plan, stating that it would not benefit the country.
During the 2nd annual conference of the Ghana Unity Professional Tailors and Dressmakers Association, Napo expressed his disapproval of the NDC’s proposal to include nightclubs in the 24-hour economy policy.
He highlighted that empowering the youth with valuable skills, rather than promoting 24-hour nightclubs, is crucial for the country’s development.
NAPO emphasized the NPP’s focus on skills development, particularly through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He believes that enhancing skills can reduce unemployment, improve financial stability, and contribute to the overall growth of the economy.
Furthermore, NAPO cautioned against voting for the NDC, citing their past record of introducing policies that negatively impacted businesses and led to hardship, including the infamous ‘Dumsor’ power crisis.
He urged Ghanaians to retain the NPP in power to prevent a return to such challenges.
The NPP running mate reaffirmed his confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and the party’s commitment to policies that benefit businesses and artisans.
As the country prepares for the upcoming elections, NAPO called on the electorate to support the NPP’s vision for progress and prosperity.
