A recent study conducted by renowned economist Professor Stephen Adei has shed light on the productivity levels of Ghanaian workers compared to their counterparts in Togo.
According to Professor Adei, Ghanaian workers rank among the least productive globally, while Togolese workers demonstrate superior work quality.
Professor Adei’s research findings suggest that employers often prefer Togolese workers over Ghanaian workers due to their higher productivity levels.
He revealed that in his research, he found Togolese workers to be more productive than Ghanaian workers, particularly in sectors such as construction.
The former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration shared his observations, stating that Togolese workers in construction in Ghana showcase far superior productivity compared to their Ghanaian counterparts.
He pointed out that some people even mistake Togolese workers for Ghanaians due to their proficiency in the Ewe language.
