Twitter reacted after Ghana Parliament legalized weed for industrial, medicinal purposes

Parliament has passed the Opiates Control Commission Revision Bill 2023 which will allow the Clergyman for the Inside, Ambrose Dery, the position to give licenses for the development of pot, regularly alluded to as “small” in Ghana for modern and therapeutic purposes.

Pot, which individuals ordinarily allude to as ‘small’ for Ghana will stay unlawful as per one new choice by the High Court of Ghana.

The Supreme Court’s initial ruling and the Parliament of Ghana’s decision to pass a new law that makes cannabis farming illegal in violation of the constitution are confirmed by a 5-4 majority decision.

The Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 (Act 1019) was passed by the Ghanaian Parliament for 2020. It states that farmers in Ghana who cultivate cannabis, also known as wee,

with a THC content of less than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis for industrial purposes, such as obtaining fiber or medicinal seed, will be granted a license on the recommendation of the Commission.

this new regulation decriminalizes clinical weed, considering the development of pot which gets 0.3 percent content of the essential psychoactive fixing, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

The regulations in Ghana are very severe for marijuana, which draws in a prison season of five years or more. The Opiate Medication Law of 1990, for example, says anybody found possessing an opiate substance will confront “detainment for a term of at the very least 10 years.

A minimum of five years in prison will be imposed for providing cannabis without payment. Favorable to marijuana advocates started pushing for changes in weed regulations in 2019.

For example, the Rastafarian Board of Ghana intends to leave on a walk to require the decriminalization of weed. However, the dis march will not take place due to police obstruction in 2019.
