The eleventh season of the music reality show Mentor has crowned Christiana Owusu Ansah, better known as Too Spyce on the TV3 Mentor stage, the winner.
She becomes the second woman to win the renowned tournament, which has primarily produced male champions since it was originally introduced years ago. The first woman to win was Roselyn Akosua Mantey, better known as Akos, in 2013.
The dancehall, afro-pop rapper dazzled fans and judges, Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment fame, Sound Engineer and Music Producer, Kaywa, multiple award-winning musicians Kwabena Kwabena and Adina cling to the bragging right, Mentor XI Winner, at the program’s grand finale held at the National Theater in Accra on Saturday, December 17, watched by Ghanafuo.com.
Too Spyce, a two-time Star performer on the show that debuted a few weeks ago, defeated Liberian Tiah, Marckel, and Herby to win the famous competition that has produced a ton of musical talent for the Ghanaian music industry.
The popular rapper receives a monetary prize of 40,000, a gold-plated trophy, a round-trip international ticket with $500 (USD) in spending money, and 100,000 in airtime as part of her award from TV3 Mentor XI.
