The Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union has issued a two-week ultimatum to the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) board of directors to approve their conditions of service.
Failure to do so will result in actions from the Union.
The Union stated that the NPA formed a committee to look into the conditions of service for Drivers and Drivers’ Assistance.
However, the board has not approved the document for implementation, prompting the Union to issue the ultimatum.
In a statement signed by George Nyaunu, the national chairman of the Union, it was made clear that if the document is not approved within the two-week window, the NPA will face consequences.
The Union warned that actions would be taken that may not be favorable to all, with the blame falling on the NPA.
It remains to be seen how the NPA will respond to the ultimatum from the Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union. Stay tuned for updates on this developing situation.
