It has taken a toll on Sylvester Stallone’s health after nearly 50 years of doing action movie roles.

The actor disclosed that following a neck fracture he sustained in 2010 while filming “The Expendables,” he underwent seven major surgeries.
When Stallone, now 77, got hurt, he was doing multiple takes of a stunt while filming a fight scene with wrestler Steve Austin.

“I did stupid stuff. While directing “Expendables,” I remember one slam that I could actually feel, Stallone said in the most recent season of his reality show, “The Family Stallone.” “Like an idiot, I am, however, doing take 10, take whatever,” he said, declining to provide more details.

According to him, the injury left his body completely altered, necessitating the insertion of a metal plate into his neck.

“Expendables 1 never fully healed me, though. After that movie, nothing about its physical state was the same. I have cautioned everyone not to pull off their own antics,” he uttered.

Jennifer Flavin, Stallone’s wife, admitted on the show that she is afraid of him whenever he needs surgery.

According to Flavin, “Sly tries to mask the pain by pretending like it did not happen.” “He dislikes it when people find out how many back surgeries he has had. Our family finds every surgical procedure involving Sly to be extremely frightening because you never know.”

In “The Family Stallone,” the actor’s life with his grown-up children is examined. Paramount+ continues to stream the series.
