According to the Duffer Brothers, there will be no strangers in the final season of Stranger Things.
According to a new interview with IndieWire, the focus will be on the existing actors.
“Whenever we introduce a new character, we want to make sure they’ll be a vital component of the story,” Ross Duffer explained. “But every time we do that, we become anxious because you think to yourself, ‘We’ve got a fantastic cast of characters and performers here, and whatever second we spend with a new character, we’re taking time away from one of the other actors.’ So we’re simply being really cautious about who we introduce.”
That was repeated by Matt Duffer. He stated that they will make every effort to avoid combining too many characters.
“I just like mixing things up, so we change the narrative or introduce a new monster.” We’re doing all we can to avoid [adding new characters] for Season 5. We’re trying not to do that so that we can focus on the original characters.”
Stranger Things is gearing up for a stunning finale. It currently has over a billion hours of viewing time, second only to Squid Game in Netflix history.
