Charlotte Maria Johnson Wahl was born on May 29, 1942, in Oxford, England. She was a British artist.
Her parents were Frances Fawcett and James Fawcett.
She was also the granddaughter of famous Lithuanian-American paleographer, Elias Avery Lowe.
She attended Oxford University where she read English.
She paused her studies and moved to the United States to get married to her husband, Stanley Johnson in 1963.
She returned to England in 1964 after having her first son to continue her education and graduated with honors.
Her marriage to Stanley Johnson ended in divorce in 1979.
They had four children together; British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, politician Jo Johnson, journalist Rachel Johnson and Leo Johnson who is an entrepreneur.
She later married American Professor Nicholas Wahl in 1988 who died in 1996 leaving her widowed.
She died at the age of 76 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in London on September 13, 2021, after a long-term battle with Parkinson’s disease.
