Sissala East MP disputes specific findings of Global InfoAnalytics poll

Member of Parliament of the Sissala East constituency, Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, has expressed his reservations about certain aspects of the Global InfoAnalytics polls.

The polls had indicated that former President John Drammani Mahama was leading Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in popularity.

During an appearance on The Key Points, Mr. Issahaku highlighted that while polls are crucial in the lead-up to an election, not all aspects should be taken as gospel truth. He emphasized the importance of surveys in helping political parties understand the concerns of the people and incorporate them into their campaign strategies.

The Sissala East legislator disclosed that he personally accepted some parts of the poll while rejecting others outrightly. He believed that certain aspects would not accurately reflect the outcome of an actual election. However, he also acknowledged the value of comparing external surveys with internal party data to gain a more balanced perspective.

Despite his reservations, Mr. Issahaku urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to embrace such polls and learn from them. He stressed that even though they may disagree with certain findings, there are valuable lessons to be gleaned that could benefit the party in the upcoming elections.

The lawmaker urged his party to carefully analyze the poll results and use them to make informed decisions. He acknowledged that polls can sometimes be accurate and other times erroneous, but there are always important insights to be gained from them.
