Rock Brynner taught at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, for more than ten years after receiving a doctorate in American history from Yale, Trinity College in Dublin, and Columbia in 1993.
His life was full of interesting roles that he took on. He wrote and performed a one-man show based on French playwright Jean Cocteau’s addiction memoir “Opium” on Broadway in 1970. Brynner’s godfather was Cocteau.
