Robert Downey Jr.’s chewed gum from Hollywood Walk of fame ceremony up for sale

Actor Robert Downey Jr. made headlines this week, but not for his latest movie or project. No, this time it’s because a piece of gum he chewed and then stuck onto a Hollywood Walk of Fame star is now up for sale on eBay.

The seller claims that the gum was left on the star of Jon Favreau during a Walk of Fame ceremony attended by Downey, Favreau, and other celebrities.

According to the eBay listing, the starting bid for the gum is a whopping $55,000. The seller claims to have retrieved the gum from the star in the same condition that Downey left it.  The seller seems to be confident that it is, and even suggests that the buyer could test it for Downey’s DNA.

The actor himself can be seen on video taking the gum out of his mouth and sticking it onto Favreau’s star

Bidding for the gum ends on Friday, so time will tell if anyone is willing to shell out the big bucks for this one-of-a-kind item.
