The allocation of an open lavatory in Mamprobi to a private developer has raised concerns for Alfred Asiedu Adjei, the Presiding Member of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).
In an interview with 3FM Sunrise Morning show host Johnnie Hughes, Adjei expressed worry over the decision, stating that they have not been informed about it.
Adjei emphasized the importance of involving the General Assembly, the highest decision-making body within the AMA, in such decisions. He also acknowledged the concerns raised by residents of Mamprobi regarding the allocation of the public toilet to a private developer.
Coming from the Mamprobi community himself, Adjei understands the need for public toilets in the area and promised to investigate the matter further. He plans to consult with relevant departments and stakeholders within the AMA to gather details on any agreements made regarding the sanitary site in Mamprobi.
