The LA Galaxy player recently shared in a post-match interview that his strong mentality is what sets him apart and gives him the confidence needed to succeed from the penalty spot.
Paintsil’s confidence was on full display over the weekend when he scored a crucial penalty to help LA Galaxy secure a victory against San Jose Earthquakes. The 26-year-old emphasized that taking penalties is nothing new to him, and he always approaches them with a sense of calm and self-assurance.
“I’m always comfortable taking penalties because I’m mentally strong in those situations. I never lose hope, even if I miss a penalty. I just keep going because I believe in my abilities,” Paintsil stated.
Since joining LA Galaxy, Joseph Paintsil has been in scintillating form, contributing four goals and four assists in just nine league appearances. His stellar performances have solidified his position as a key player for the team in the ongoing Major League season.
