For one CEO of BCM Ghana and Australian native Paul Edward List gets entangled in a judicial drama when it is claimed he threatened to kill a Ghanaian person by pulling a gun in public.
The threat to life allegation brought against Mr. List comes after he was the subject of a report at an Accra police station for pulling a revolver on someone at the Vanguard Heights Apartments in Cantonments, Accra.
We are still in complete shock that someone could have the audacity to do that in Ghana, and we were shocked to see the video proof.
However, the footage that our team watched and posted on social media site X demonstrated that, in fact, this individual was fearless and showed no consideration for anyone else, particularly Ghanaian black people.
The fact that he was getting support from other Ghanaians, including the security of the Vanguard Heights Apartment, is even more startling.
These Ghanaians should undoubtedly be held accountable for their heinous actions toward another person, as well as other Ghanaians.
Watching the entire video would allow Ghanaians and Africans in general to make their own decisions about whether or not this white man would get away with doing this against another white man or even in his own nation. Why do we consent to this? This makes me sick!
According to allegations and police reports, Paul Edward List, the same man, is accused of abusing several of his employees and even stripping one of them naked because he thought the individual had stolen his 300 cedis.
Since we don’t have all the information, even if the recipient of the money did not acknowledge taking it, does it give you the right to use the legal system to dehumanize someone else?
Other than to conclude that this is a white man who essentially does what he wants in our country and doesn’t respect Black people, what more can we say? This is undoubtedly not possible in Togo or Nigeria, the countries that are right next door.
Either he would have been deported or he would have fled the nation on his own, promising never to look back.
The Accra Circuit Court, presided over by Judge Adelaide Abui Keddey, found a prima facie case against Mr. List; nevertheless, in spite of the overwhelming evidence, his attorneys have indicated that they will challenge the case.
The question still stands: Why is this dangerous man still on the loose?
