
On February 11, 1988, Patrick Scales—a long snapper for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League—was born. He played collegiate football for Utah State University. He has previously played for the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Jets.
Scales was signed by the Baltimore Ravens on December 18, 2014. He played his first NFL game against the Houston Texans on December 21, 2014. He was released by the Ravens on August 31, 2015.
Scales committed on November 28, 2015, to the Chicago Bears. He agreed to a one-year agreement with the Bears on March 4, 2017. The Bears placed him on injured reserve and waived him on August 28, 2017, following his torn ACL in the team’s third preseason game.
Scales re-signed with the Bears on March 27, 2018. Scales re-signed with the Bears on April 2, 2019, for a 12-month contract. On March 26, 2020, Scales re-signed with the Bears. On April 7, 2021, he re-signed with the team for another year.
