Igor Shesterkin has been nominated as one of the finalist for this year’s Hart Trophy in the National Hockey League.
He is the goaltender for the New York Rangers and the Russian National team. Igor Shesterkin will be the first player from the Rangers to win the Hart Trophy.
At the age of 16, he played in the 2012-2013 season for the MHK Spartak in Russia. He entered the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft as a goaltender and was picked by the Rangers in June 28.
At the age of 22, Igor represented Russia in both the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2018 World Championships.
