The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is gearing up for its Parliamentary Primary in the La Dadekotopon Constituency scheduled for today, Saturday, April 27.
This primary has become necessary following the resignation of the previously acclaimed parliamentary candidate, Dr. Joseph Gerald Nyanyofio.
Various candidates have thrown their hats in the ring for the primary, with notable contenders including Joseph Addo, who serves as President Akufo-Addo’s personal driver, and Solomon Kotey Niikio, the current Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area.
The National Executive Committee of the NPP approved the primary after Dr. Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio stepped down from the position due to personal reasons.
It is worth noting that in the 2020 elections, the NPP lost the La Dadekotopon seat to Rita Naa Odoley Sowah of the NDC, making the upcoming primary a crucial event for the party.
As the NPP aims to regain the La Dadekotopon seat, all eyes are on the candidates vying for the position and how they will fare in the primary. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this developing story.
