Neymar welcomes Leo Messi back to PSG

2022 FIFA World Cup winner Lionel Messi received a warm welcome when he arrived at PSG’s training center on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

Even though the World Cup tournament ended on December 18, 2022, the former Barcelona star has spent weeks in his home having massive along with some of his Argentine teammates.

Some PSG players like Mbappe, Achraf Hakimi, and Neymay Jr. reported to the training ground right after the tournament ended, but Leo Messi had rather been busy partying all day and having fun with his close family.

However, early Wednesday, the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner made his way to the training ground and received a King’s treatment on his arrival.

His teammate Neymar put up a tweet welcoming the superstar at the training ground. He tweeted a photo with him with love and folded hands imojis, plus a hashtag of Leo Messi’s name.

PSG, on the other hand, tweeted a photo of Messi stepping out of s van at their training center with the caption: “𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑳𝒆𝒐. Leo Messi is back at the Training Center this morning after winning the World Cup!”

Messi also shared a photo gallery of how the entire team welcomed him back to training and captioned it (auto-translated):

“Many thanks to my colleagues and all the people of the club for the welcome they gave me. We’re back and looking forward to continuing to meet the goals of this season, now with the @psg.”
