Grammy Award is given annually in the United States by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize achievement in the music industry.
Winners are selected from more than 25 fields, which cover such genres as pop, rock, rap, R&B, country, reggae, classical, gospel, and jazz, as well as production and postproduction work, including packaging and album notes.
In addition, four general prizes are awarded for the record, album, song of the year, and best new artist, for a total of more than 75 accolades.
The awardees are presented with a golden phonograph figurine.

The ceremony has been postponed indefinitely, according to a statement, and no new date has been announced.
The Grammys was postponed this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Grammys were earlier scheduled to take place on January 31 at the Crypto.com Center in Los Angeles and while sporting events have continued there.
The release from the Grammy board read;
“Our top priority remains the health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show. Given the uncertainties surrounding the Omicron version, conducting the exhibition on January 31st is simply too risky.
We are excited to celebrate music’s biggest night on a future date that will be announced soon”.
