As part of a move to give back to his community and contribute to quality education in Ghana, American comedian Michael Blackson has commissioned a newly built ultramodern school at Agona Nsaba in the Central Region of Ghana.
The school which was commissioned on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, is open to all in the area and is absolutely free. Pupils will pay no tuition fees and will have learning materials and good teachers at their disposal.
After commissioning the school named Michael Blackson Academy, he disclosed that he has accomplished what he always wanted to do, which is giving the kids a chance to be great.

Michael Black further stated that ‘greatness starts with education and foundational education shouldn’t come with financial barriers.’
“Today is the greatest day of my life because I’ve finally accomplished what I always wanted to do which is giving these kids a chance to be great,” he tweeted.

Even though the ‘Coming 2 America’ actor was born in Liberia and is currently based in the United States, he traces his ancestral lineage to Agona Nsaba.
In the past two or three years, Michael Blackson, 50, has been spending days in Ghana and has even acquired a mansion in East Legon, Accra. He and his wife, Rada Darling, have been vacationing in Ghana for years.
He has established himself as a Ghanaian comedian and has been a part of the country’s entertainment industry.
