An American film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor by the name of Martin Charles Scorsese (born November 17, 1942).
Two actors who Scorsese loved as a child were Victor Mature and Sabu. He has also talked about how the avant-garde techniques utilized in Powell and Pressburger’s 1947–1948 films Black Narcissus and The Red Shoes inspired his filmmaking.
Martin Scorsese’s cinematic mindset appears to have been profoundly and permanently influenced by at least two historical epics, Land of the Pharaohs and El Cid. In his documentary A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies, Scorsese noted that as a young man, he was fascinated by historical epics.

In his documentary Il Mio Viaggio in Italia, Scorsese stated that the Sicilian episode of Roberto Rossellini’s Paisà, which he first watched on television with his relatives who were also Sicilian immigrants, had a significant impact on his life.
