Richard, who is known as the “Architect of Rock and Roll,” produced some of his most well-known works in the middle of the 1950s, when his magnetic stage presence and his dynamic music, which featured frenetic piano playing, a pounding backbeat, and raspy shouted vocals, laid the groundwork for rock and roll.
Little Richard’s Wife
In October 1957, Richard and Ernestine Harvin, his one and only wife, met at an evangelical gathering. They started dating that year and got married in California on July 12th, 1959.
Harvin claimed that she and Richard had a pleasant marriage and “regular” sex at first. When the couple divorced in 1964, Harvin said it was because of her husband’s fame.
