International vocalist Linda Maria Ronstadt was born on July 15, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona. Over the course of her four-decade career, her numerous vocal styles and recordings in a range of genres have found an audience among the general public. She has numerous Grammy Awards as well as an Emmy Award.

Linda Ronstadt made a name for herself as a solo performer in 1974 when her album Heart Like A Wheel debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the hit song “You’re No Good” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was after a stint with the Stone Poneys.

Ronstadt’s father was of Mexican ancestry with a German male grandfather, and he came from an early Arizona ranching family, and her mother Ruth Mary Ronstadt, who was of German, English, and Dutch origin, was brought up in Flint, Michigan.
